The Chazy Lake Boat Launch, located off Route 374, provides easy access for boaters at the northwest end. Once the water freezes, ice fishing and snowmobiling on Chazy Lake become extremely popular activities during the quiet winter months.

Town Budget Notice
Notice is hereby given that the Preliminary Budget of the Town of Dannemora for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2027, is filed in the Town Clerk/Tax Collector’s Office where it is available for inspection by any interested person during the Clerk’s regular window hours.
Pursuant to Section 108 of the Town Law, the Proposed salaries of the following Town Official are hereby specified.

Town Supervisor $19,000.00

Councilpersons $27,000.00 (4 at $6500.00 each) ($1,000.00 is allotted for Deputy Supervisor)

Town Clerk/Tax Collector $20,000.00

Town Justice $10,500.00

Highway Superintendent $29,000.00

of Dannemora Municipal Building located at 78 Higby Road, Ellenburg Depot NY 12935, 2027 Budget
Meeting (1) September 9th, 2026, at 4:00pm, 2027 Budget Meeting (2) September 23rd , 2026, at
4:00pm, 2026 Budget Meeting (3) October 7th , 2026, at 4:00pm on October 7th , 2026, the Regular Board
Meeting will immediately follow.
